If I promise you pretty pictures of yarn, will you promise not to judge that it’s taken me three months to photograph and write this post? Yes? Well then I’d like to present:
My haul from the 2016 Minnesota Yarn Shop Hop!
This year’s theme was literature. Each shop had a special event-only yarn and pattern based on a book. I did not purchase most of the special yarns as some of them were out (they disappeared quickly!) and some were simply not yarns I was interested in.
Colorway: Pretty in Pink (100% Superwash Marino) I can’t get a good picture of this vibrant yarn
This was the 2016 Yarn Shop Hop Exclusive Yarn
Painted Desert (100% Superwash Wool)
Berroco: Vintage DK (Acrylic/Wool/Nylon)
This was purchased for a specific project (baby hats!)
Funky Stretch (Superwash Wool/Cotton/Polyamid/”Elite”)
This yarn is STRETCHY! For Socks!
Colorway: Purpuras (100% Superwash Marino)
(This was purchased based on a sample knit in the store. Also, I LOVE Malabrigo)
Colorway: Gatsby (Superwash Merino/Cashmere/Nylon)
This was the 2016 Yarn Shop Hop Exclusive Yarn. It matches the cover for the Great Gatsby perfectly.
The color looks navy blue. It is in fact gray. (Superwash Marino/Nylon)
Colorway: Winnie the Pooh (100% Superwash Marino)
This was the 2016 Yarn Shop Hop Exclusive Yarn
Superwash Marino
This beautiful yarn was purchased for a specific pattern which I didn’t like when knit.
Colorway: Olive (100% Domestic Rambouillet Wool)
StevenBe was having a Yoth trunk show during the Hop. This is an interesting yarn.
The Cyborg’s Craft Room: Assparkilate
Colorway: Lip Service (Superwash Marino/Nylon/Stellina)
The shop had run out of the exclusive colorway, but The Cyborg’s Craft Room gave them other options. This shop is INSIDE a library!
Project bags! I love a good project bag.
Purple Kittens: Crafty Planet
Doctor Who Daleks: 3 Kittens Needle Arts
Knitting Ball: Sheepy Yarn Shoppe
Buttons (not shown): Amazing Threads
What a great haul you got! I’m still on my yarn diet…
I’m on a yarn diet NOW. I pretty much spent my annual yarn funds over those three days! But it was SO worth it!
