Outlander: Eye of the Storm

(I completely forgot to post this! I had this written right after the episode but then life got in the way. Watch for my year-in-review recap later this week. Hopefully it will give some insight into my poor blogging habits this year.)
Questions I have before the episode based on the magic of foreshadowing:

  1. Who do the remains from the 1960s belong to? (I think it’s Geillis which is super ironic since they find her bones  a mere years after she technically left Scotland.)
  2. Do we see Young Willy? (I think we do)
  3. Does Claire and Jamie’s daughter make it back to Scotland from the 1960s? (My money is on yes. Maybe the cliffhanger?)
  4. Voodoo? (that seems an easy one)
  5. What about “freed” slave Temeraire? Does he help the McTerrible’s out? (Probably)

Without further ado, spoilers ahead for Outlander season three, episode 13: Eye of the Storm

Outlander: The Bakra

And here we are again. Another day, another episode of Outlander that needs to be hatewatched. Only one more episode after this one for season three. Let’s see how much of that subtle, subtle foreshadowing begins coming to fruition, shall we?

Outlander: Uncharted

Oh, wow! I almost forgot to post this for you before the new episode. So enjoy this recap of last week’s Outlander.

Spoilers ahead for Outlander season three, episode 11: Uncharted

Outlander: Heaven and Earth

Something good has come from watching Outlander. The trailers for a new Starz show starring J.K. Simmons run before every episode. It’s called “Counterpart” and has to do with the normal world but alternate dimensions. And assassins. Coming in January. That is for sure going on my TiVo. Unlike Outlander, which I just remember to watch because I have TWO friends who read my recaps now. Yay!

Outlander: The Doldrums

Another week, another episode just filled with Jamie and Claire moping. I know. It doesn’t make sense. I’ve committed to this for you dear reader, though, so here you go. Though I might have to figure out how to make these recaps shorter.

Spoiler alert: Recap of Outlander season three, episode nine: The Doldrums

Outlander: First Wife

Have you ever hate-watched something? I’m a voracious consumer of pop culture so I know a lot about TV and movies that I don’t or won’t ever watch. Some of that comes from my interest in simply knowing more about a show to be involved in conversations with friends or family who watch things (Mad Men, Game of Thrones). Sometimes I’ll begin casually watching something to share time with someone (Mad Men. I hated that show but watched it every week for the last two seasons to share time with my husband when he got hooked).

Something weird happened with Outlander on Starz, though. I don’t have any close family or friends who watch the show. But one Sunday night this fall, I was sitting at home with nothing to watch and nowhere to be and decided to watch the premier of episode one of season three while I knit a shawl.
