I love the look of boot cuffs and figured they would be be a super quick on-the-go project (yay for additional Christmas gifts!). Knit in Lion Brand Yarns Wool-Ease Thick & Quick, it is indeed super quick. Based on how fast this project is and how much of that yarn I have left over from my Christmas project over-purchase, I might possibly end up handing out boot cuffs to strangers out shopping.

Normally I knit projects like this two at a time, but I wanted to see how quick I could knit up one boot cuff. I expect I should be able to finish (or almost finish) the second cuff at my knitting group tonight.

The pattern, Double Kick Boot Cuffs, is a free download from Ravelry. It can be worn with either side up (seed stitch on one end, the new-to-me farrow rib on the other). I really like the way this turned out. It’s not only pretty, but super soft and squishy!

Since the Thick & Quick is super bulky, I cast on less stitches than required. For my large calves, it won’t work, but I believe it will fit any one of a number of family members beautifully. With so much of this yarn in my house, I’m sure to end up with a pair myself.

What are you working on today? Let me know in the comments!
