That’s the name I have given my modified socks: Sorta Peaky. I’m using two patterns for this sock. The foundation is the Beginner Toe Up Socks for Magic Loop. I’ve knit this pattern before (in worsted) and really like the simplicity. The pattern is Peaks ‘n’ Valleys. This is a simple two row repeat. So easy I don’t need any kind of cheater (paper, counter) when I pull it out while on the go.
I’m using ModeWerk from ModeKnit Yarn. I bought it at a local fiber arts festival. I tried to walk by, but the sample was so very pretty. So so pretty. I will forever be amazed by the magic that is self-striping yarn. And these colors. I had to buy one ball. The color is Mode Stripe Purple.
This is a fingering weight yarn knit on #1 US needles, so it will probably be a WiP for a while.
What’s on your needles today?
